AKVIS Enhancer – a new version of software for photocorrection designed to improve the detail of the image, the correction of shaded areas and sharpening borders and contrast. Added a new mode of photo editing prepress, which helps prepare the image before printing or publishing on the web. AKVIS Enhancer is available in two versions: a regular independent program (standalone) and as a plugin to image editors (plug-in), in versions for Windows and Macintosh.
Very often the picture seems hopelessly corrupt, too dark, fuzzy. The reasons may be different, and in many cases it is reparable.
AKVIS Enhancer (program name translates as “improver”) helps in many difficult cases.
The program works in three modes: Detail Enhancement, prepress and Tone correction. The task of a mode – a correction, but the ways to correct the image, and, respectively, and the results – are different. For a different images and different objectives suit different processing modes, and in some cases, you can use all one by one.
Improved mode provides comprehensive details of the correction of each pixel in the image without losing quality, allows you to correct any single picture to show detail in bright and dark areas. In this mode the program improves the texture, emphasizes the details, “pulling” them from the illuminated and shaded areas. Enhancer corrects underexposed photos, pictures taken against the sun, and even helps get rid of the fog or haze. The program provides a comprehensive correction of each pixel in the image without losing quality.
Prepress processing mode helps to prepare the image before printing or publishing on the web. When operating in this mode increases the sharpness of the borders and the contrast of the image. Even high-quality photos is recommended to handle this mode, the resulting images become a professional appearance.
Tone Correction Mode is designed to change the brightness of the pixels in the dark and light areas, thereby improving the overall picture. This mode allows you to adjust not only the whole image, but also some of the color (for example, just lighten up a portrait, leaving the background intact, or darken the overexposed sky).
Postprocessing
Perform additional image adjustments, you can use the sliders under the histogram and brightness settings (Brightness), Contrast (Contrast), Gamma (Gamma) and Saturation (Saturation) Postprocessing tab (Post Processing).
The program is used not only for correction of family photographs and artistic pictures, Enhancer is used as the publishers and editors of technical literature, for that would provide an illustration of equipment as possible in more detail. In medicine, this program helps with the recognition of fuzzy X-ray images.
AKVIS Enhancer allows you to store your favorite and most frequently used settings as presets and recall them as needed, which simplifies and speeds up the work.
The program supports batch processing of files, which makes it possible to automatically edit a large number of photographs. This is very useful when dealing with the same type of defects, as often happens.
AKVIS Enhancer is represented as a plugin to image editors (plugin) and as a separate, independent program (standalone).
Both options work in all three modes, but in the standalone program also includes additional editing pictures in the Postprocessing tab you can change the brightness, contrast and saturation, make a correction on the channels.
Enhancer plugin is compatible with most popular graphics editors: Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Corel Paint Shop Pro and Photo Paint and other (see the list of compatible editors).
